What is X-Con?
X-Con is a one day convention celebrating all things strange, unusual, and unexplained. The event features special guests, talks, panels, stalls, photo opportunities, and meet and greet sessions covering subjects such as the paranormal, horror, UFOs, cryptozoology, conspiracy theories, magic, and more.
Where is the event held?
X-Con takes place at Himley Hall, Dudley, UK.
The event is held indoors across the entire ground floor of the building.
What time does the event start and finish?
The event runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 17th October 2026.
Doors open at 9:30am for VIP ticket holders and 10am for Standard ticket holders.
Do I need to book tickets in advance?
Yes, tickets for X-Con must be booked in advance. We cannot accept payment on the door.
What is the difference between Standard and VIP tickets?
Standard tickets give entry at 10am to the event and access to stalls, talks, and exhibits.
VIP tickets include additional perks such as early bird entry, priority seating at all talks, VIP Lounge and Bar and exclusive extras. Full details are listed on the ticket page.
Do you offer concessions or free tickets?
In line with most conventions, X-Con does not currently offer concessionary ticket rates. However, guests who are registered disabled and require essential support may book one complimentary companion ticket at checkout for a carer or support person attending with them. Proof of eligibility for a complimentary companion ticket may be requested at the welcome desk. This will be handled discreetly, and any one of several recognised forms of supporting documentation will be accepted. If unsure please get in touch.
Are photo opportunities included in the ticket price?
No. Photo opportunities with special guests must be booked separately as optional add ons.
Are meet and greet sessions included?
No. Meet and greet sessions with our special guests are limited to 12 people per session and are optional extras which must be booked in advance where available.
Can I buy photo or meet and greet tickets on the day?
Some may be available, but this cannot be guaranteed.
We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
If I book a photo opportunity, can my partner or child be in the photo too?
Photo opportunity tickets for X-Con are valid for one person only. This helps us keep queues moving smoothly and ensures every guest has a fair opportunity to enjoy their moment with our special guests. Everyone wishing to have their photo taken with a special guest much purchase their own photo ticket.
Will there be stalls?
Yes. There will be a wide range of stalls selling unusual, paranormal, horror, gothic, fantasy, and esoteric items, along with books, artwork, collectibles, and handmade goods.
Will there be talks?
Yes. Throughout the day there will be talks and an exclusive Q&A with our special guests and speakers.

Is the event suitable for children?
Due to the nature of the event and the themes we cover, X-Con is for those aged 14+. Anyone aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and hold a valid entry ticket.
Is the venue accessible?
X-Con is held on the ground floor of Himley Hall, and is fully accesible.

Can I apply for a stall?
Yes. If you are interested in having a stall at X-Con, please visit the 'Stalls' page or contact us for availability.
Can I volunteer at the event?
We welcome volunteers to help with guest support, floor walking, security, and event assistance.

Can I get a refund if I cannot attend?
Tickets are non refundable unless the event is cancelled.
If the event is cancelled, a full refund will be issued.
